DJ Mighty Joe

Bryan Stone, professionally known as DJ Mighty Joe, was born on February 23rd in Cincinnati, OH. His lifelong passion for music began at a young age, whether he was playing it or creating it. Throughout high school, he honed his skills as a hip-hop dancer, and upon entering the University Of Cincinnati’s College of Conservatory Music, he redirected his focus towards audio production.

In 1999, Mighty Joe made a pivotal move to North Carolina, where he secured a prominent position as an in-house producer for an independent music label. His return to Cincinnati in 2004 marked a significant turning point in his career as he gained recognition for his exceptional mixtapes. This recognition led to his appointment as a mix show DJ for Radio One Cincinnati, a role he held until 2009.

Mighty Joe's dedication and talent did not go unnoticed. He received notable nominations for "Best Club DJ" in 2012 and 2013 by the Ohio Hip Hop Awards and again in 2014 by the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Hip Hop Awards. Throughout his career, DJ Mighty Joe has released mixtapes featuring a roster of renowned artists, including Gorilla Zoe, Dem Franchize Boys, BMF, Gucci Mane, Big Bank Black, Yo Gotti, Rick Ross, FloRida, Jadakiss, Webbie, Calico Jonez, Soulja Boy, Young Dro, and the late Shawty Lo (RIP). He has also had the privilege of co-hosting and featuring these artists on his mixtapes, in addition to DJing their live performances.

DJ Mighty Joe's journey through the music industry has been defined by his unwavering passion for the art, a commitment to excellence, and an impressive roster of collaborations and accolades.
